My fiance lives in Germany and I am in the United States. My heart goes out to all the other binational same-sex couples this holiday season spending it alone. Let's keep our hearts open and our eyes focused on the day DOMA is repealed. Thanks for sharing, this was very well written.17reasons4luvhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13269409573423628364noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7033184738897645345.post-45129837694004476212011-12-02T14:53:18.466-08:002011-12-02T14:53:18.466-08:00I am British, a gay man, a fireman for 30 years ma...I am British, a gay man, a fireman for 30 years married to a gay American man who lives in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania. We were married in Toronto, Canada and have a 32 year old adopted son who loves us both. Luckily, I will be with them in the US this Christmas. Being seperated for long periods of time by US imigration laws is very dificult for us too. I wish you both all the love in the world and hope that soon your seperation and ours will be a thing of the past.Royhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16416498164074849928noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7033184738897645345.post-68214756966857929962011-12-02T08:11:28.350-08:002011-12-02T08:11:28.350-08:00My Husband and I live in London and will be travel...My Husband and I live in London and will be travelling back to the US for the holidays. The most stressful part of the entire trip is always the moment we have to split off into separate lines at Immigration control, and I know that my legal spouse, despite having a valid multiple entry -tourist visa to visit the United States, could be denied entry on the basis of nothing more than some homeland security troll's personal homophobia. Well meaning but woefully uninformed friends in America ask us "Why don't you visit more often?"<br /><br />Why indeed....Davehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10175928404980853381noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7033184738897645345.post-91626168375689009012011-12-02T03:01:04.656-08:002011-12-02T03:01:04.656-08:00Thanks for this blog!
